FilmDoo French Content Student Intern

FilmDoo, an online platform for watching and discovering great international cinema, is looking for a student intern to assist in researching and acquiring French language content.

We are a top platform for international movies from around the world and need a bright and hard-working student intern to help expand our French collection. We are a winner in the 2017 French Tech Ticket programme. The student internship will give you crucial insight into the operations of an innovative start-up, as well as an understanding of the distribution industry.

FilmDoo student internships run for three months, either full-time (5 days a week) or part-time (3 days a week). There is also some flexibility to work from home.

The student internship will include:

  • - Researching and reaching out to French filmmakers to acquire content
  • - Researching and reaching out to French film festivals and schools to identify content and establish partnerships
  • - Handling materials and overseeing the signing of licensing agreements
  • - Researching French-language groups on social media to promote French content
  • Essential skills:

  • - Fluency in or professional working knowledge of French language
  • - Fluency in English with exceptional verbal and written skills
  • - Passion for French cinema
  • Other advantages include:

The student internship will give you crucial insight into the operations of an innovative start-up, as well as an understanding of the distribution industry.

  • - Test newly released features on the website and mobile devices
  • - Develop an understanding of the web browser / mobile device landscape and testing, including tools like BrowserStack
  • - Create test plans and documenting test findings
  • - Help to investigate technical issues reported by our team or customers
  • - Run SQL (Structured Query Language) queries to assist with testing
  • - Re-test important system features on a regular schedule and on demand
  • Essential skills:

  • - Ability to work independently
  • - Strong English language skills
  • - Experience in data analysis and generally working with numbers and text data in Excel, Google Analytics and other analysis tools
  • - Strong attention to detail

Primarily the role involves adding films to our database, which includes reviewing film information or data and adding relevant tags and information for each film.

  • - Experience at managing large volumes of data
  • - Strong English language skills
