In the dumpster 'burbs of Brooklyn, heavily pregnant checkout girl Mona passes her days staring into space at a minimart while irritating her recovering alcoholic mother and lesbian sister. The fact she is having a nervous breakdown is news to nobody, but despite it all, she is determined to have her baby.
The foul-mouthed, deliriously distasteful but not without heart See You Next Tuesday has been compared to Polanski’s ‘Repulsion’ and the comedies of Cassavetes by US critics. The debut feature from New York-based filmmaker Drew Tobia, this is a John Waters-esque treat from an exciting talent to keep a side-eye on.
